Summary: You're mute, and cant talk? not a problem for your partner, they can find other ways to communicate, and honestly wouldn't have it any other way.

Xiao

Whom talks with you in touches and small notes.

He had seen no problem in your absence of speaking, he likes the quiet nights that you shared with him. The sounds of nature taking over your ears, it was nice, just standing beside you and looking out to the views of Liyue. he reaches out to hold your hand, though still not accustomed to the feeling, he does it anyway. and as his hand lightly squeezes yours, he feels your own squeezing his back, as if saying 'I love you'. your quiet conversations are sweet and only for you two to know about.

He leaves notes scattered around, as you do too. ones with little messages of your schedule and plans. ones written with more love than any other person could comprehend. notes shared between you and him. notes saying 'i loved that dish, could we make it again' and a reply under, 'of course, i'll do anything for you'. it seems simple and dumb, but a nice way to talk to each other anyway.

Heizou

Who likes when you just listen to him, and let him do anything he kind of wants to since you can't talk back, but he also loves when you just draw your thoughts on paper.

He loves to talk, but mostly loves when he gets to talk to you since you always listen to him so closely. he loves when he can just drag you to to places, but of course he's nice about it (kind of) and ask you if you wanna go to that new ramen shop that opened in the outskirts of Inazuma City, which he kind of answers for you because of course you do! in which you smile at (smile at him or else...)

He likes your little drawings, and especially when its a little puzzle he has to solve so he can understand what you're saying and loves to guess wrong purpose so he can get a reaction out of you. and even has a special sketchbook, that he keeps on him at all times. he also sometimes goes trough it and just smiles at all your little drawings. remembering the time that you drew it, and all the cute little faces you made when he teased you for how bad it looked.

Cyno

Who helps you talk with small drawings in the sand and learned sign language so he could communicate with you properly.

He's often out in the desert, and from time to time takes you with him. which makes it easy to express yourself when all you need is a stick, sometimes his spear if he lets you, and sand which is already in front of you at all times. the little drawings that symbol your love, so many hearts all over the sand it would be hard to count how many times you drew them. he gave you his cape at night when you were extra cold? you drew a heart around his feet as a 'thank u, i love you', in which he cutely (your words) responded with, "i love you too" right after.

Whom learned sign language just because he felt like you were left out a little, but also learned the wrong one at first so you had to help him and learn him some signs as well. but the first thing you learned him was how to say "i love you", but didn't tell him what it meant so you could do it without him noticing just for a little while longer.

Wanderer

Who hates being touched, but makes you touch his shoulder when you need something and gifts you a book so you can write to him when needed

He, despite hating when people touch him, he cant think of many other ways you could get his attention, so he wants you to touch him when you need him. it doesn't matter if he had an extra bad day, its the best way to get his attention, so touch him all you want. it is you after all, the love of his life, he would let you do whatever you wanted to do, just tap his shoulder and give him a few signs or point at something, anything you want you'll get.

Others would say that he would be annoyed at you for pushing a book up to his face every hour or so, but he surprisingly he doesn't get annoyed at all and "tolerates" you pretty well. in fact he loves when you just stand there and write in your little book, he thinks its adorable when you glare at him as a sign to wait for you to finish.

Albedo

Who is normally very quiet but when he's with you he loves to talk, but of course, he loves the times when it's just you and him sitting together in silence

He could be seen as quite shy if you didnt know him well, but when around you he was the complete opposite, talking about everything he did that day, was currently doing, what plans he had ext. he loves when you just listen to him, but if you ever tried pointing at smt to ask like yk 'whats this?' he would be overjoyed and you wouldn't be able to make him shut up for hours about that one thing.

He looked at you when you had put your hand in front of his sketchbook, you looked at him sweetly before kissing his cheek, catching him by surprise. he put down his sketchbook and kissed you back on your forehead. it was just a quiet moment between you two and you wouldn't have it any other way.

You ask his what he's looking at and he just smiles wider , shaking his head and leaning down to plant a kiss square on your jaw and when you smiled he placed some more all over your face . His hands find your waist and he buries his face in your shoulder , taking a deep breath and hugging you .

Xiao who is very touch starved and lives for the moments when your hands graze as you walk. it is enough for him to have you then. So when you return from your travels and you both stand by the balcony , he moves closer to you and makes shoulders touch, trying to seek some level of affection from you , expressing his happiness that you're there. You look over to him as his face burns a bright red , he is extending his hand towards your own on the railing. You interlock your pinkies. He tries to hide his face in his other hand but doesn't make an attempt to pull away . His eyes are on your interlocked fingers

" You have..returned...welcome back"

Childe who you havnt seen in what feels like a year but in reality is barely a week .He has brought you gifts like he always does , piled into the ships cargo. When his ship reaches close to the shore you can see his practically bouncing at the sight of you waiting for him at the dock . He leaps of the ship in one go the second he can and runs towards you at full speed , lifting you up and almost knockinginto a poor old man trying to walk past you both. He spins you around thrice before setting you down .

" Im home my love"

Neuvillette who waits for you after every trial beacuse you always manage to cheer his up . His eyes are glassy as you approach him and you smile at him as if you know how he feels . He lets his eyes fall to the ground in remorse. Justice does not always feel like it. It is often painful . You reach for his face , running your thumb over the skin under his eye . You looks at you with all the pain his heart holds and a hint of all the love he has for you peeks out. You tell him you love him an he says it back. The sky begins to clear . He takes your hand and presses a kiss to your knuckles .

Diluc who absent-mindedly cleans the same glass over and over and over again , slightly agitated at your delay. You both ahd made a routine of you visiting him every day at 4. But it was 5 today. He would be lying if he said he wasnt worried . The tension in his shoulders a telltale sighn to anyone who knew him. When you walked through the door , pushing the heavy oak aside with your shoulder , holding a basket of what smelled like fresh bread , his shoulders relaxed for the first time that night. He walked upto you , taking the basket and keeping it on a barstool . He kissed your forehead and then your lips . He can feel you smile knowingly into the kiss . " You missed me?" you asked

vision criteria

a lot of fans hate the concept of criteria for visions but i do believe there is one, just.. not as part of the world building? like i dont know if i’d go as far as to say whatever entity or mechanism in charge of granting visions has a criteria of its own, but there seems to be a common narrative between he characters of each respective element.

a doylist criteria, if u will.

so far i've looked into cryo, anemo and pyro (i did make posts back in the day but they're now privated until i can word all of it better)

anemo

acceptance of circumstances out of one's control

people often joke about anemo characters' shared trait being the death of a friend, even though heizou is the only one whose loss of a loved one was involved in gaining his vision.

kazuha had already gained his when his friend defied the musou no hitotachi, faruzan gained hers before she realized she had been trapped for a century and everyone she knew was dead, and tatarasuna people were long gone when wandered gained his. moreover, we don't know when xiao got his, and characters like jean, sucrose and sayu do not feature any death in their lore.

the narrative is present, however, especially through the archon himself who wears the face of the nameless bard in order to honor his memory.

the death of a loved one seems just a very direct way of approaching the theme of acceptance of something that's out of one's control. anemo characters struggle with this throughout their lives, and gain a vision when they're able to overcome it.

the ruin of the kaedehara clan was out of kazuha's control, for instance, and he gained his vision when he decided to focus on the positive aspects of life rather than his misfortunes.

jean had to fulfill the duty of her clan since she was young, depriving herself of experiences that are normal for other children, and she gains her vision when she apprehends the corrupt members of the knights of favonius and proves to herself that these sacrifices are worth it.

sayu gains hers when she decides to turn her small size to her advantage; wanderer (anemo poster child tbh) gains his when he accepts the memories of his "past incarnation" as his own; heizou gains his when he accepts evil is part of human nature and makes it personal; sucrose gains hers when her interest for alchemical experiments starts overshadowing her original goal to recreate a childhood fantasy she shared with friends she lost contact with.

cryo

acceptance of the self

the most distinctive trait of cryo characters is inner duality, theres a part of themselves they struggle with and they only gain their vision when they accept themselves wholly. sometimes this is approached more directly with life or death situations in which the character has to save themselves, and therefore find enough worth as they are.

everyone knows what's up with kaeya's backstory. it's not just telling the truth about who he is that grants him a vision, because it appears later when he's fighting against diluc. he gains it when he blocks an attack, protecting himself and no longer being ashamed (or at least at this crucial moment)

rosaria was taken in by a gang of criminals who massacred her village when she was a baby. she struggles to define the place she had within this group, unsure if she should call them fathers or not. she gains her vision when she tries to escape, and one of them challenges her to a fight to death that she wins

qiqi is a zombie who gains hers when she wishes to stay alive in the midst of dying

shenhe is cursed since childbirth, her duality is more about who she wants to be despite her fate. she gains her vision while fighting an evil spirit/god that her father tried to sacrifice her to

ganyu is half adepti half human, and unlike yanfei she struggles to belong on either side. she gains a vision when she decides to stay in liyue to help the qixing, effectively picking a side although she doesnt realize it

chongyun was born with yang energy which prevents him from performing exorcisms. he gains his vision because he decides he'll still achieve this goal with this condition, not in spite of it

eula gains her vision when she decides to follow her own principles, regardless of what her clan and mondstadt want to impose on her

ayaka is limited by her duty and social class against her fantasies of a regular or adventurous life. gains her vision when she proves to herself she's worthy of her position

layla is a very insecure person, especially regarding her academic skills. theres the whole DID as well. she gains her vision at some point while she argues with a professor, effectively being confident in her ideas.

i havent checked mika's bc sincerely zZz

diona's the only one who doesnt fit in this narrative. she's a very lonely kid who only has her dad as company, but he gives more attention to alcohol than her. she gains her vision when she goes out during a snow storm to look for him, admitting her uncondtional love with that action.

pyro

im not sure how to word this yet.

the common pattern seems to be about carrying a legacy, more directly addressed through family businesses but there's other characters with more abstract ones:

diluc & his father's winery

hu tao & her family's funerary tradition

amber & her grandfather's outrider force

bennet & his dads' wish for success in adventuring

klee & alice's teachings

xianling & liyue's cuisine/her father's restaurant

xinyan & the essence of rock music

yanfei & the integrity of law

yoimiya & her family's fireworks business

dehya & her father's will (although she misunderstands what that is until her story quest)

inheriting something has not much to do with it, it's the way this element forms part of their characterization and how it's involved in gaining a vision. just because a character has a family business it doesnt mean they fit the criteria.

for example:

bennett's was a bit burdened by the lack of success of his dads, he thought he had to achieve something to give meaning to their lives, but gains his vision when he realizes that success is not needed and the experiences in and of itself are what makes an adventurer.

diluc followed the ambitions of his father, and believed them to be their own. he never questioned his choices, as long as they made his father happy. when he's faced with his death, the fact he owned a delusion, and the corruption in the knights his whole sense of self shatters and when he leaves mondstadt, he also leaves his vision (which he called his and his father's shared ambition) behind. then he returns to do exactly what he was doing before (protecting mond), but this time it's under his own terms: no longer under the knights of favonius (the frustrated dream of his father)

it feels as though pyro characters gain their visions when they realize themselves, who they are and what they want regardless of what has been imposed on them. they might follow this legacy like diluc or hu tao, or they might search for their own path like bennett and dehya.

perhaps xinyan is more the poster child, someone who protects who she is despite the constant pushback from society, something that she fights to change.

some accept their legacies as their genuine path and others rebel against it, and then others rebel against it and still accept it in their own terms. how to put it?

perhaps it's the realization of individuality?

the legacy is not important, as it is with the narrative of dead loved ones or duality in the other elements, it feels more like a trial to find the character's individuality.

hydro

i still struggle with the other elements, mainly because i have yet to go through each character profile to analyze them cohesively.

it's hard to find the right common pattern.

they have a high status in their respective fields:

barbara is a church idol in the nation of poetry and ballads with high devotion to their god

candace is the village's appointed guardian

ayato is the clan/commission's leader

mona is a renowned astrologist

nilou is the star of the theater

kokomi is watatsumi's high priestess

childe is a harbinger

xingqiu is the best diciple of guhua

yelan is yelan

some of them are innovators/change tradition:

barbara changed the music scene in mond, from traditional folk music to her idol stuff ig

candace went against the elders in the village so they could start making business with outsiders, since she wants aaru village to flourish beyond the burden of their past

yelan stood up to ningguang in how things were done

yet others are catalysts for preservation:

ayato upholds his clan and remains loyal to the raiden shogun not out of genuine conviction, but for filial piety (to honor his parents and protect his sister)

mona protects the integrity of her art to her own detriment

likewise, nilou doesnt have greater ambitions in regards to her dancing skills

xingqiu revived the arts of the guhua clan

kokomi could fit in both, since she carries the will of orobashi, and rather than following personal ideals in how to rule her people, she wants to follow their collective wishes. but then she's also working hard in erasing the generational trauma/resentment they have against the shogunate.

childe is. childe is a special case. he wanted to become the hero of the stories his father told him, and to this end he's made it his own conviction to protect children's dreams. thats the element of preservation, but i dont know how he gained his vision so i cant say how significant this narrative was in the process.

in a way, characters who have innovated are also conducts for preservation through that innovation (preserving music, preserving the village's future, preserving the lives of those who work in the shadows of the qixing)

perhaps like legacy is a trial for pyro characters, this aspect of preservation/innovation is also a trial for hydro ones, but as to what's the underlying narrative.. i cant tell. yet.

electro

i think some of them share the pattern of being tools for a higher purpose, especially ei, cyno and sara. they're not tools like scaramouche was, because thats something he pretty much was created as and had no control over, but this is rather a deliberate choice they make. they chose this for themselves completely out of their own free will.

theres characters like fischl who directly embody something else, her identity is put aside much like the tool characters do for their conviction.

there's a bit of sacrifice involved in doing this i guess?

that's about it, as far as i can go without analyzing the character profiles further.

Xiao isn't often tired, as he has to fulfill his duty of protecting Liyue and its people. But today his karmic debt decided to take a toll on him, unexpectedly it hit him harder than it ever had before. And to make matters even worse as he was fighting in Huaguang Stone Forest he had stumbled across a certain area that reminded him of his friends. He felt a wave of sadness fall over him as he stared at the scene that was in front of him. He desperately wanted to get their attention, but he knew that the adeptal beings before him were fake. So he decided to make his way back to Wangshu Inn, yet little did he know there would be someone on the balcony waiting for him with his favorite food for when he got back. 

You sat on the top floor balcony of Wangshu Inn with a plate of almond tofu right next to you specifically made for the teal haired protector of Liyue. Almost every night you would wait on that balcony waiting for Xiao to get back so you could welcome him with a plate of his favorite food. You started to grow tired while waiting for the adeptus to come back as he was taking longer than normal. And as time past by it became harder to keep yourself from falling asleep. Soon you see Xiao appear in-front of you, "Why are you still waiting for me at this hour shouldn't you be asleep?" He says in a raspy but slightly sad tone you almost didn't notice. a/n: posting this rn bc ive not been going thru a writers block? tbh its so hot and humid here even sleeping feels like a chore so i spend the day just idly existing. ik this series had some ppl on the taglist so i'll post this little "chapter synopsises" thing of sorts, hope u enjoy

after this spending more time outside classes, sharing lunch etc. one day after class he sees u leaving instead of staying for library, u say u will join a gig. he invites himself to it basically. it's a gig of kazu and his band. kazu is... shocked to say the least when he sees scara next to u right at the front row. u introduce scara to kazu and the rest of the band (xiao, venti, aether)...

(implied time skip) scara joins u more often to ur friends outings. one day u straight walk behind the scene n he's confused. u explain normally u help them w makeup etc before gigs. cue a not so obviously jealous scara when you do xiao's eyeshadow.

xiao and scara bonding over their irritation at childe (scara just dislikes the guy, xiao hates that he keeps flrting w his dad/older brother. i ddint decide if zhongli will be a father figure or older brother, leaning towards the latter)

venti organizes a party, scara joining as well. he insists on drinking games, to which everyone ignores until alte hours. u explain to scara thats how it always goes. he makes a comment abt the tense air as u both r in the kitchen preparing drinks, u say "probably because we are the only single people here." it may b at the end of this chapter that u two share a kiss at the end of the night, then fr the followng week, u avoid him

implied more parties/going out. u "crying over" the news of yanfei "the elle woods wannabe???" (venti laughing in th bg: ehehe yeah they were crshing on her hard). going out to a pub w venti hu tao and yanfei, scara goes for a breath of fresh air. as hu tao and yanfei buy drinks, u mumble about wishing a love like theirs, venti says smt along the lines of u already having that and "havent you seen how that puppet looks at you" before u can ask what he meant, scara comes back, swinging an arm over the back of the cushions/ur shoulders, youre tense bc of ventis comment, "hey you alright?" "were you smoking?" "last i checked, i didnt need your permission for what to do." (he excuses himself, and comes back a minute later smelling of perfume, supressing the scent of smoke lmao)

u receive an untitled email w no attachment whatsoever to ur personal email address saying "he's not who he says he is" (or "who he acts he is") u drop the topic tho it unnerves u.

during one of the friend getaways u were leaving in a hurry, refusing to give a clear answer to what it was, scara offered to drive u, u only allowed him til a certain point. kazuha is worried bc u two always shared ur lives w the other. anyways theres nt much of a mystery u are seeing a therapsit but dont wanna explain why u started in the first place, only ningguang knows.

i think another party or beach house type of getaway but w ur friendgroup. esp u and venti get drunk on the night of arrival, waking up w a hangover, meanwhile kazu urges everyone to join him for a morning scretching/sport to freshen. scara rolls his eyes yet is the only one to keep up to kazu, until ur voice draws his attention. "you traitor! i cannot believe you didnt even tell me" snatching a thermos from ventis hands, u start drinking it, kazuha just groans: "mother was right, you are a bad influence" he says abt venti "um excuse me! give credit where its due, he only thought of that bc i yelled it to his face and suggested a good thermos." you say. (unless its clear, the thermos contains of a cold alcoholic drink) scara snatches the thermos from ur hands basically and u have to join the rest w morning jogging. the beachhouse thingy ends w u and scara walking side by side by the shore, u psuhing him tot he water and he grabs ur wrist, pulling u with him. cue simp mode scara pov when u both reemerge and he thinks under the full moonlight youre the mst beaut,ful thing he ever sees.

scara shows up to kazu one day asking advice regarding u, while holding a cat. kazu sighs, seeing scara wont leave, he opens the door n lets him in. some muttering abt how he's awful if he is trying to learn abt u to change how he acts bc a relationship based on a faked identity is no-no then he mumbles "well lucky for you you dont need to o much as their type seems to include [idr what exact phrase i had for this srry but he was basically insulting scara]", then beaten to curiosity, kazu asks whats up w the cat and scara holds the cat out to kazu "dont you think it looks like him (tomo)" (the cat is sand colored) "it followed me all the way to ur place"

some event for children of big names, for the first time (in years?) you and kazu will attend. scara is basically ur partner for it. at the beginning u push away the wine served (catered by dawn winery) (again a line i dont rmr but u insult the wine, claiming dandelion wine isnt even real wine or smt??) at one point interviwerers snatch u and scara away separetely, u get away a lot sooner, as u wait by the window, u can see the reflection of red hair, turning your back, u walk to his direction (away) and whisper "i hope you have found the closure you were desperately looking for" before diluc can say a thing, scara shows up w a hand on your waist "darling, there you are. what a bore it is here, why dont we go to that place you've been wanting to check out?" idk probs gonna spend the night w scara and sleep tgt, he gets... lowkeyish possesive during it lol... (just basking in the knowledge that he has u more than the other 'sore losers' ever did? or smt like that. idk could make more sense if in ur past 'relationship' w diluc u both always used a condom type of protection while w scara its penetrative sex basically.)

the beginning of conflict/reveal of it (from this bit on it is less planned as ive had this idea more recently. og plan was to have the event w diluc as final followed w more or less makin things official w scara. the beach house ch was supposed to have u refuse him, saying u "dont do love" and him going onthis rant abt how ur fear is illogical bc u wont be the only one vulnerable in a relationship...)

probably that night or the next, still at scaras, as it gets darker one drink afteranother u bth r more or less drunk, him more than u. then bfore realizing, he starts going on this weird rampant, his words making no sense: "u know i hate(d) you right? never got why ppl love u or ur brother so much. perfect children of perfect beidou and ningguang, beloved by everyone, beloved by their mothers, their friends" basically slurring speech and kinda revealing he first 'befriended' u w the intentions of having fun/messing w u since despite being 'perfect' u looked so lonely (and that 'im nt doing that' commen got him pissed. "who goes around calling people 'that' huh) scara rant goes on abt how he had to go fall for both perfect siblings "wow what a joke huh" and a little "i dont even get why im like this nowadays. idek why i rushed that way to get those notes and drove at 200kph to get back to the library for u" (basically drunk scara more or less jealous of u and kazu, emotional management problems, problems of realizing he has emotions, also it clicks to u that the guy kazu hated in his hs is scara)

scara wakes up to an empty bed, unable to contact u. it was at the end of the term so any excuse he uses to see u, they fail. rumors of u joiing ning for an internship, he tries to see u, only to be met w security. (he may or may not throw rpcks at the door like that cat tiktok. security dialing u/ning, scara in the bg "open the door or ill throw rocks at ur window" "u already are!" "i mean ur bedroom window" "wh-HOW DO U KNOW WHERE I LIVE". scara tries to reach out to kazu bc he is clueless why he is being ignored (he was VERY drunk, while his words sobered u up like a slap) kazu: politely tells him to fuck off.

scara finds a way in bc ei and ning wll have a meeting n scara pulls the elder child/shareholder card to insert himslf to the meeting, lil sister raiden is Not happy "i can become ceo long before you can so suck it up already". scara and u staring down at one anıther during the meeting, "talking" at the end, basically having to pull the curtains down bc the offices may be soundproof but theyre still made of glass n everyone can se eu two fight. then scara says to at least allow him to help u, sayng he knows abt the weird email u got and someone might b trying to frighten or corner u to give up ur shares.

idk basically working tgt w scara to find out who did it. he suspects one of the "harbingers". "arent you a harbinger as well?" "i keep my shares as a powermove, i dont want anything to do w their stupid company." so idk either dottore or childe gonna b the one who was mpre or less creeping u w the emails (u did receive more after ur breakapart w scara).

as i said the bits from drunk past confessions forward r fairly new so i dont have everything planned but basically u... more or elss tolerate scara (dont forgive him entirely) and he gotta work thru his issues basically (aka accepts that he has issues aaand hes kind of a simp, hes desperate to be loved lmao)

Everyone experiences things so differently so I tried not to be too specific with feelings/comfort, but that also made things a bit short. If there is anything that needs correction, please let me know. There is one suggestive line in Albedo’s part because I headcanon it for him so hard.

{ Xiao }

The adepti have different forms and are suggested to be able to change forms at will, so Xiao isn’t very affected by any change in appearance.

It is probably the most simple for Xiao out of the three, as it is a very similar situation for him. Xiao is male because he wants to be, the same goes for you.

Xiao won’t act or view you any differently without a binder unless you express insecurity surrounding it.

Unfortunately, he’s not the best at providing comfort, being unused to emotions in general.

Xiao notices the physical difference the first time he sees you without a binder, but he makes no comment on it. It doesn’t hold any meaning to him, you are still you, and no alteration to your physical appearance changes that in his mind. However, he does question you when he notices you seem uncomfortable and is surprised by your answer.

“What? That doesn’t change anything.”

It may sound a bit insensitive, but he is so genuinely confused. To him, it doesn’t matter, and he tells you that it doesn’t make you any less masculine in his eyes.

Since comforting with words isn’t his strong suit, he will try to distract you. Depending on the time of day and what your capabilities are, he’ll suggest a variety of things. Would adventuring take your mind off it and make you happy? Maybe you two could go to the kitchen and make some Almond Tofu. He might even offer you cuddles, something special since it’s not often that Xiao will initiate physical touch.

{ Razor }

Razor is probably the least elegant about handling it, but he still understands to an extent.

Razor doesn’t appear to be a wolf, but he is a wolf. Your appearance doesn’t change what you are in his eyes.

Would probably mention it just because it’s something different, he really doesn’t mean anything by it.

“You look different,” he states bluntly, simply surprised by the change. When you mention insecurity about it, he just tilts his head. Feels bad that his words could upset you and apologizes.

“You’re... still boy,” he says, ultimately confused as to why you would feel any differently. Once you explain it to him he will do his best to comfort you in the way he knows best.

“Let’s hunt.”

{ Albedo }

The one who actually understands why you could feel insecure.

While he understands, he isn’t necessarily the best at navigating how to best comfort you.

Tries to casually reassure you that no matter what he views you as a guy. He is sincere but very worried about it sounding forced, so he tries to find perfect moments to tell you.

The most stressed about trying to make you feel as validated as possible.

Would probably very much like to call you ‘sir’ in certain situations.

One of Albedo’s terms of endearment for you is ‘my prince’, he particularly likes this one because he thinks it very cute and hopes it helps remind you that he sees you as you, always. Even though he doesn’t like seeing you insecure, he’s happy that you come to him for comfort. It makes him feel very loved and trusted.

Albedo’s heart is both warmed and pained the first time you come to him seeking comfort. He wants to make it go away but also knows it’s not quite that simple.

“This doesn’t change how I see you at all,” he reassures, wanting nothing more than to hold and comfort you at this time. He’ll offer to do just that, but if you refuse he’ll offer to take you out to try a new dessert he saw, or maybe he’ll talk to you about his experiments to take your mind off things.

his parents died when he was five and he had to go to seoul and live with his grandparents who were really strict and kept him on a very short leash which he was not happy about

they gave him a strict schedule and he had to keep at it, but he did his best bc he didnt want to upset them.

he did really well in school, was really popular with his classmates bc he was very fun loving and energetic. he was even a favorite of his teachers bc he was really smart and excelled in every subject! he smort

when he was ten his grandparents hired a piano instructor so he could take piano lessons between the time he’s finished doing his homework and dinner time, bc they didn’t like him having so much free time. he finished his homework quickly so he cOULD have free time, and they just. tore it away from him. smh.

she says fuck it and starts giving him free vocal lessons alongside the piano lessons, and his voice flourishes under her teachings and she tells him that he could be a big star one day with a voice like his

when he’s fifteen someone came along to a lesson of theirs one day, and she told him it’s just a friend of hers. he paid no mind to it and they went on as they usually do, practicing the piano for a bit and then he goes on to sing a few songs for them. at the end, he gets a business card for killjoy creative and is told to give them a call when he wants to audition.

he does end up calling, but unfortunately for him it’s after they claimed bankruptcy and can’t afford to take in any new trainees. to a fifteen year old, it sounds like they’re just making excuses and don’t want him anymore.

from then on out, he stopped picking up his instructor’s calls, and his grandparents stop paying her when shihyun wouldn’t even brother to come out of his room when she came over for their next couple of lessons. he blamed her for them turning him down, even though it wasn’t her fault.

he gave up on his dream for a couple of years, even though he continued playing the piano and singing in his free time.

a couple of months before he graduated, he got a call from an unknown number and it turned out to be his instructor. he hadn’t heard from her in about three years, and he almost hung up on her but for some reason, decided to listen. a friend of a friend of hers was starting a company called mobius entertainment, and she thought of him to go audition for it. she gave him the contact info for the company and the location of the auditions, and he went for it.

he got it, of course, but his grandpa was lessss than thrilled. he wasn’t happy at all about him pursuing singing, and would tell shihyun that he was wasting his time and would amount to nothing and that he should go for something like making his own business instead. why would he throw away all of his smarts just to become a puppet on stage??

he was only a trainee for a year before orion debuted, and he was given the stage name ‘silas’. it wasn’t exactly his choice. the company thought up the name, slapped it on his profile, and told him that was going to be the name he had to go by now.

he was easily loved for his fun personality and became popular in variety shows! he also comes to love directing, and over the years gets a lot of tips from directors he works with and looks up to and starts building up his resume for it by offering tips and ideas every now and then.

he did his military service from 2014-2015 and since he’s been back, has been focusing on dos promotions, variety shows, hosting, and videography / directing.

during his military service, his grandpa died ( late 2015, and he was discharged early for it ), and silas really regrets shoving his fame in his face instead of making amends, but silas was too prideful ( n still kind of hurt ) and his grandpa was too stubborn to admit that he was wrong. he’s been taking care of his grandma since then, even though he can’t see her as often as he’d like to.

silas is really funny and with how smart and talented he is, too, he’s majorly adored by the public and i’m gonna try and get ahold of the nation’s husband title bc. that’s what he is ok. he’s prime hubby material.

he doesn’t get incredibly close to people. ever since losing his parents as a kid, he keeps most people at arm’s length because he doesn’t want to deal with loss again.

you have to be reallllllllyyyyyyyy important for him to want to get close to you. he has to like you a lot to want to get over his fear of abandonment to get to know you deeper than surface level and actually care. that doesn’t mean that he doesn’t have friends, of course he has friends. he actually has tons of friends and acquaintances, but. a hundred pennies is nothing like four quarters, yknow?

your muse could consider silas to be a really close friend of theirs, he knows everything about them and more, and yet with him they’ve barely scratched the surface and while he’s really fun and funny with them, he never gets any deeper than that. he’s kind of like a dark tinted window, where he can see out but you can’t see in. people will only know what he wants them to know.

he shows affection and remorse and most feelings by buying ppl things. if he hurt your feelings he doesn’t really care that much bc he’s not that close to you to care, but here’s a rolex or here’s a versace dress. material things and money don’t really matter to him at all, but he knows it’s important to most other ppl so that’s why he does it.

he’s kind of annoying and loud and a bit egotistical?? he sorta expects everyone to know him and fall at his feet bc he’s been around for so long and knows what it’s like to be on top of the world w orion/dos
